Full and Half Moon Nail Art Tutorial

Full and Half Moon Nail Art Tutorial
1) Start by applying your base coat.
2) Paint each nail with a dark blue polish. A black polish would also work for this but I felt dark blue gave a better effect in the light.
3) On the index and middle fingers – using your white nail pen, draw a small circle in the centre of the nail. A dotting tool will also work for this.
4) On the thumb and pinkie fingers – using your white nail pen or dotting tool, draw a half-circle to resemble a half moon. This can be as thin or as thick as you like.
5) On the middle finger – using your nail art pen, draw a star. I went with this as it added some variation to the design, however, an additional moon also works.
6) To give a shadow effect on the moon, apply some black nail polish onto a cotton bud and lightly dab onto half of the full circle. If you don’t have a cotton bud, a small piece of a sponge will work too. Repeat this step for the half circle. I went with a spiral shape for the full circle and a little dab on the upper corner for the half circle.
7) Using any dark glitter polish, paint over the base colour (around the white shapes). I went with a dark purple glitter polish as this provided a nice shine against the darker blue shade.
8) Finish off the look with a top coat.
